But "scrolls" isn't their IP. "The Elder Scrolls" is. But their main argument is that people might get confused between Scrolls and Skyrim, and the fact that most people just say "Oblivion" or "Skyrim" when referring to the game kind of nullifies that concern.

I really hope this article was posted sarcastically... It wasn't a Kotaku writer anyway.

I think it kind of lends even more to the fact that this guy has NO idea what he's talking about. He's taking a very complicated subject and trying to oversimplify it, and in the process highly distorting facts.

I couldn't even finish the entire article before I had to call bullshit on this whole thing.

Do it. One thousand times do it.

Probably a design concern (as opposed to issue). 128 players is pretty ridiculous. That said, I think private servers reserve the right to make those edits, but only when the full game is released. There's no point to with a Beta server.

Yeah because all FPS games=Call of Duty.

Uhhh, some maps support up to 64 players officially. It's just that the Metro map is capped at 32 players, and that's all that we have access to right now.

Yeah, it's all the same shit.

And they are. Just because it doesn't have vehicles doesn't mean that it's not Battlefield. There's still a lot there that you don't get in CoD. In fact, that map shows off a whopping THREE different environments:

The fact that we get to play the game at all before official release is a privilege. And he's only human. You can only take so much rejection and obnoxious bullshit that you just break down like he did. He composed himself very well, I think, in dealing with the obnoxious comments people have posted.

I've played it a bit, yeah, but I played 2142 and Bad Company 2 more than that one. I believe Newegg had it on sale this weekend, I'll have to get it.

Honestly? I haven't even looked at the forum. But I've read no complaints on chat while in-game, other than simple complaining of bugs, but nothing so ridiculous as "this game sucks I'm not going to buy it."

How does any of that justify pointless complaints?

It's a Beta, not a demo or a full game. Just a Beta. It's to get bug fixes for the core gameplay, and to show off what they've improved since Alpha.

There's a huge difference between constructive criticism and just plain criticism. The point of a Beta is to get constructive criticism, such as "I don't like this feature, so please get rid of it or change it to better suit the player. A majority of people agree."

I don't even know why. The game is great. Yeah, some bugs here and there, but it's a Beta, I expect to see magazines jutting out of the side of a player's shoulder. I'm going to see screen flickering with beta drivers. Sometimes I'll have to scroll through my weapons to be able to aim. I might get stuck in a bush,

Right on. BF3 seems to use all 4 cores, up to maybe 70-80% each at the most? But yeah, a 6800 series is probably your best bet. A 6900 if you can find one for a good price and want to spend that much, though.

You'll probably not have too much issue with Skyrim. It looks nice, but remember, it's built for the 360. What are the rest of your specs?

You brought up level design, no idea where it came from, but I haven't even touched that.
