Honestly, I find this more creepy than funny. This dude is an extremely egotistical manipulator and will probably go to even more drastic measures to “legitimize” his name.

I’m curious about how much money he spent on this whole thing. It seems like it’d be quite a lot. Where’d he get it from? I’m going to assume this is some strange Tommy Wiseau type situation. And I’m hoping a documentary was being filmed as a part of the stunt.
They were promised $300 each for the European tour? Like $300 for the whole tour? That’s like how much per performance? Either there’s a typo in this article or they should have known there was a problem when they’re getting like $20 a show.
Promised $300 for a tour through Europe?
Also, $300 for a whole tour abroad? Assuming around 17 days based on their schedule, that’s like $18 a day. I know musicians aren’t famous for their math skills, but generally speaking, you shouldn’t fly to another country for less money than it would take to get you out again if the worst happens.
That’s not too crazy— I’ve seen bands at the 100-200 capacity level do routes like NYC -> Philly -> Boston -> DC, etc. Mostly has to do with what nights are available in what cities and how much time you’re willing to backtrack to fill a tour schedule. Of course, those are bands with actual fans...
As entertaining as it is to see this dude crash and burn, damn, I feel bad for the rest of the band. Being a working musician ain’t easy
I don’t know why Kinja won’t let me reply to certain comments, it’s a bug that’s lasted for weeks now I guess, so I’ll give those who replied to mine the courtesy of a reply here.
I tend to agree with you on this. The 18% figure that is now being touted as the new norm, that 15% is no longer ‘acceptable’, I just wonder where it came from, maybe someone can explain, without me having to do the pesky research.
So, the unemployment rate in the US is < 4%.
$10 on a 37 bill is 27%, which is pretty generous.
Or possibly just greedy and assuming she wouldn’t get caught, like many people guilty of theft. Not every crime’s got a complex backstory behind it.
Ah yes, the ethereal ‘do something else’, in an economy with 10% unemployment. With student loans to pay, and while she’s working in exactly the field she studied for.
not to harsh on someone who got fucked by The Man but it sounds like your girlfriend should have quit her job and done something else if she was that unhappy with the situation.
I agree, the puzzles are very solvable, but do require you to take notes and pay attention to details given to you in the game. There are some, however, like Sodoku and other logic puzzles that require the player to solve on their own. The older games are pretty archaic in their user interface, so you may want to…
How is this Her Interactive similar to Telltale Games? Telltale expanded their small team into a much larger set of teams and made a lot more deals with various licensed IPs.
Count me in as another longtime Nancy Drew fan that misses the series.
My sister, who was never as in to video games as me, has been playing these ND games since the early 2000s and absolutely loves them. She has been worried they won’t still be making them by the time her daughter is old enough to play them.
I appreciate you bringing attention to the lack of development over the last few years since Her Interactive’s last release of a ND game. I have been playing these mystery games since the early 2000's and to have such a large gap in development is a serious loss for me as a female gamer. I really hope this is not the…
