They better not charge extra for this.

@lucasway89: Well also, from my experience in the UK, you guys mainly operate GSM phones (like AT&T). Verizon uses CDMA. The difference in technology is exciting a lot of techies here.

Is there some way we could stop incoming calls from disrupting our data connection?

I knew this was going to happen!

I hope there's something extra or special about this iPhone other than being CDMA. I don't exactly think it'll be running Gingerbread, but a little tiny new feature couldn't hurt could it? (yeah, yeah I know, it's not happening)

I agree with this, and came to this conclusion myself not long after it became clear the VZW iPhone was dropping around now.

Great, I'll put it in the stack.

I don't think some of the commenters here realize that many of the customers Verizon is courting are NOT exactly those who subscribe to Gizmodo's RSS feed. Lots of people don't know when Apple updates their products, or about LTE, or how CDMA is different from GSM. Apple and Verizon are counting on these people, and

What about for friends? In the Craigslist situation you can always refuse to sell, but I waited for almost an hour at a train station for a couple of friends the other day. Some people just can't manage to come on time. My hispanic friend actually has an excuse - CPT (Colored People Time).

It's probably obvious which one I use since I'm commenting here right now...

@JaCooP: Not looking for one really. I think they've just gotten a lot of hate lately (see above) and they don't deserve so much.

That large paragraph is unbelievably conceited (believable for Apple actually).

@Drummertist v.3: Same here, minus the wife. Also, it seems like there's going to be a huge flock of people switching over. I'd like to AT&T's network when it isn't as stressed.

The fact that Gizmodo isn't invited is ironically the biggest hint of all.

@FriedPeeps will kill for a CR-48: Only if we follow the "any press is good press" strategy. I don't think anyone who sees this page is going to be buying from them anytime soon.

@8thManOnTheMoon: I think they were referring to the "Beats" in the bottom right.
