“Everyone in this country is so hung up on women having sex and whatever...”
What I see in that conversation between Denise and Lisa are two women who are not necessarily talking their own sexuality so much as talking about male-dominate fantasies they cater that our society has normalized. Everything they talked about regarding sex was about what pleases men most. Obviously, maybe these…
I think the difference is if there’s a product to sell: Monat, Rodan + Fields, Pampered Chef, etc. etc. etc. With Raniere, he was claiming to sell consumer discounts, but once you got in there weren’t actually any discounts. It was a shell company/ pyramid scheme to get people into a downline.
I’m 99 percent certain Jaime left to kill Cersei, because he finally realized it needs to be done.
and Euron would have laid siege...
What’s wrong with Dany getting ignored? That’s one of the few things that makes perfect sense in this episode. Yeah, she helped them against the Undead, but she’s still an outsider (whose ancestors killed Starks), and she is in the North, and the Northmen are close and distrustful of outsiders. The fish out of water…
i thought this episode served to highlight how much shit people get into when they think they know everything and don’t listen to anyone else.
How are you supposed to see anything on a dragon though? It’s windy as shit, you don’t have goggles and the dragon is obscuring half of everything below you.
One of the greatest strengths of this show is how it will go to great lengths to show how every character is flawed. I can’t speak for GRRM, but I feel like maybe all the main characters are shit because it’s a reflection of humans in general. People are too easily ready to worship this character or that one, but the…
The writing re. Brienne’s reaction to Jamie taking off soooooo pisses me off. After establishing her as one of the toughest characters on the show, they write her to be a blubbering “don’t leave me” mess (trope of a female who’s man’s leaving her high and dry), rather than giving her SOMETHING to say that’s a strong…
Why was there no scouting? Surely someone could have scouted and told them about the dragon and shipping killing weapons? They are supposed to have highly trained soldiers in their ranks and NO ONE thought about scouting to see what was ahead?
She supports him because she’s flawed like all of us.
If we found out that someone we knew but didn’t care about was a sexual harraser, child abuser, murderer, etc, we’d cast judgment on them without question.
If we found out that a sibling, best friend, lover, or parent was the same, we’d approach it from a different…
I’m so glad she admitted that she doesn’t know anything and she hasn’t learned! She is correct because I don’t know what else explains her dogged support of Woody Allen! I also believe that should disqualify you from being in a serious relationship or parenting a child! Thank you for not having done those things!
Fuck, thank you!!
I was comparing the two subjects of the post but your point stands.
I’m not one to defend TS, especially at the expense of Beyonce, but isn’t it likely that this performance had been planned/rehearsed for months, and it was too late to change it up in the last few weeks since Homecoming was released?
So now an on-stage marching band is a thing only Beyonce can do? 🙄
Yeah I agree, but even if he dated one of the women - its not like its an opinion article... its a man living on campus and manipulating women.
Personally, I don’t think it necessarily does undermine the story, but it’s so common for journalists to slip in a line, often in parenthesis, about any small personal connection they have to a story, that it comes across as odd that they didn’t do that here.
Thanks I feel like an idiot trying to figure out their intention... am I an idiot for not getting it? I don’t even understand why it would undermine the story...
