That's pretty much just how Miley sings. If she's not auto-tuned or she's not just singing a really slow, calm song, that's her voice to a tee. Not sure why anyone would expect it to be any different on this occasion...maybe we're just all too used to the auto-tuning and lip sync?

If you've ever heard a live performance of Miley doing an upbeat song, this describes her singing perfectly. So, while semantically it makes little sense, this description is spot on.

I just change into it when pumping and then back to work clothes, and throw a nursing cover over myself . It's still less time than rigging up the breastshields to keep them in place.

I currently pump every day. I have a pump with strappy things that will hold the brastshield in place, but if I move too much the breastshields move and I lose suction. So, I basically had to sit perfectly still while pumping, which meant I wasted work time. Then, I found a pumping tank on sale at Target for about

True! BTW - it still refers to all the women in this article as "amazing" in the text

I am trying to figure out how to say thsi without coming off as ignorant or racist...could I , a white woman, wear that necklace without being accused of appropriating? Because I really like it, and to me it is fashion, but I recognize not everyone might see it this way....

Yes, I was thinking that the whole show. There should have been clapping after each number. would have made it so much better. then I think the live aspect of it would have made the whole production more enjoyable.

Yeah, I actually, surprisingly liked him as the Captain. I really enjoyed teh scenes with him and the Baronness.

I was very surprised, and think it was more a product of the sound mixing and trying to sing over/above the really loud orchestra. I really can't stand fast vibrato, so I really noticed it. But, she sang Climb Every Night for the Rockefeller tree lighting special on Wed so beautifully and with such conviction that

Yeah, i felt sorry for Carrie. NBC totally threw her to the wolves for ratings. She was out of her element. She emoted well during the songs, I thought. And I think she actually would have been okay (not great, but decent) with teh acting if she had been given an acting coach to help her with word phrasing during

I missed it, but apparently Willie Robertson sang on the country music Christmas special last week. My boyfried said he was actually really good...who knew.

True. i am a musical geek, though, and just couldn't with SMASH. This one will differ, hopefully, because it's not just a show with singing, but it us supposed to live theatre filmed. I'm hoping that will come through.

Seriously, no more pure white lights the "white" LEDs just look blue - makes me so sad!

Can't decide - it's agreed that no one can touch Julie Andrews for a "movie" version, but Audra McDonald brought me to tears on last night's special with Climb Every Mountain, Steven Moyer sounds amazing in the promos, and gosh darn it, I just really feel the need to support the broadcasting of live theatre for the

I agree with you comment about greed. But, I also feel like it is a systemic problem we face because we are much more capitalistic than democratic. CEO's may have corporate greed, but we all need large corporations to do well. How many of us rely on 401ks or IRAs for our retirement? Those corporations have a

Add to that the fact that many consumers are scraping by themselves and are therefore forced to purchase cheap clothing that is necessarily made cheaply - and no i'm not talking about those persons who just want new clothes every month. A paycheck for most just doesn't go very far. Complicated indeed.

It's also a result of botox of the smile lines. I can't understand it. The worst I ever saw was Ally Walker in Sons of Anarchy. She couldn't even move her upper lip and it looked like her upper lip was just hanging from the rest of her face. Why would anyone want that?

Jena Malone IS awesome. So glad she has finally landed a role that will garner her the credit she deserves. She has always delivered a stellar performance in everything I have seen her in.

I know this is tangential. But, this is why I haven't responded to my email provider's requests for my phone number. Is it really supposed to make my access safer? I am scared of the opposite; they will hack my email, and the hacker will be savvy enough to find all the information the email provider has of me.

Yep. I have little patience for that kind of thing. I'm willing to give you one pass, but I will make sure I don't put myself in that situation again. Because, I won't leave you, but I will not like you very much by the time we leave.
