yes, what x2Empressa said. I think you hit it spot on. Judy Bloom did not say that her breasts were not a part of her sexuality, or that her breasts did not respond when she was being sexual. She is saying that her breasts are not the be all and end all of herself as a woman and her sexuality.

I know, right?

I know. It is too bad that for some this will overshadow her triumphant athletic record.

I can see that.

Mostly wheat (not gluten strangely enough), with an intolerance for chocolate, coffee and dairy.

I'm with you. And, yes, current Matt Damon. i didn't get it when he was younger, but yowsah now. I think it helps that he didn't stay as thin, softens his face a bit.

She was actually on tour with a new album last year. And, yes, it got some country radio air play.

I dunno. When I finally eralized I had food allergies and stopped eating foods that I couldn't digest (and that hurt my digestive tract so that I wasn't absorbing most of my foods well), my set point weight dropped by 30 pounds rather quickly because i didn't need to eat four times the calories to gain the same

I think razors are a bit different. When women's razors first came out there weren't the same options with men's razors to choose from; men's razors basically had two blades. And because women are shaving a different area then men, I think it makes sense to have the razors be slightly different. Those broader tips

I agree with you that the way I act as a woman should not be compared to how a man would act to be deemed important. i like the way you phrased that. I think, however, as part of society that is oppressed (for lack of a better word off the top of my head), I do think it is rational and good to compare how we are

I'm with you. I was also put off by her explaining her position, or, rather, condemning a different position, with generalizations and anecdotes. It was basically her opinion the whole time; which some other commenter noted is great for a memoir, not so great for a feminist piece. I would have appreciate it more if

Agreed.

I was actually wondering that. Not necessarily about the tuition, but generally. $400,000 doesn't seem to begin to cover the lifestyle to which she is accustomed. I was shocked it was that low.

Yeah, used to absolutely not be a Miley fan. She just came across as too obnoxious and self-centered. But, as she grows, I am starting to love her and think she is a great role model. She seems to do what she wants, without hurting anyone else, and without purposefully shoving her actions in other people's faces,

Yes, you are right. That was phrased very incorrectly. I was trying to not say that anorexia was only like an addiction and added the words mental disorder; I should have rearranged the sentence completely. I am sorry.

Hm. Interesting points and anecdotes, looking from an outsiders perspective. Carrying on the idea that anorexia is like a mental disorder or an addiction might also help those living with/loving someone with an eating disorder. i think a lot of people who live with or love recovering addicts and people with mental

Why, to be a serious fan, does someone have to know everything about an artist? Can't you just be a serious fan of his or her work? And, information gathering about an artist is much more accessible now than ever. He may have always been true to those things, but I don't think it's fair to put a person down as

Yes! This! So many, many times - this!

Totally made sense to me!

I've been thinking about this - because I am one of those women who didn't want to say I was a feminist. But, I am. And I don't say that reluctantly or hesitantly anymore. I think the problem, as pointed out in the Helen Gurly Brown article the other day, is that feminism take many forms. Or, actually does it?
