I think that people are giving Louis CK the benefit of the doubt because he is (or comes across as - since I don't actually know him) a very smart, witty, man, who has a great command of the english language and chooses his words brilliantly. (That he is given the benefit of the doubt is stated in the article.) So,

Yippee!!! i've been waiting to learn how to be a proper lady! That way I can attract my prince charming, give him all the love ! have been saving up and holding inside, so that we can ride off into the sunset, live happily ever after, us against the world with only our love to save us.

Hm. I dunno about walking in on Tom Cruise or in her contract ending. Really, anything is possible. I think it's also possible that Katie married Tom because, among other reasons, she had had a crush on him since before she knew him - like idolizing a bigger star. And, even if she was a bit leary of Scientology

Yeah. I've always thought that too. And Scientology is known for preying on people like that - with some social anxiety.

I don't watch The Today Show, and have only been following along. I appreciate this perspective. Thanks.

How do you buy alcohol or get into a bar? i'm finding more and more (in California at least), that cashiers and bouncers won't take an expired license. I've even had them actually swipe it in the cash register. And, I find it much too risky to carry my passport around. Maybe a state ID, but if you're going through

Ugh. When i have a migraine, water sounds disgusting and awful. Like I would have to force it down. And, honestly, sometimes I have to because when I do drink it my stomach actually quivers and is not happy. I can't really explain why - but I stick to coconut water or gatorade - much better.

I have actually found (and this is purely anecdotal, but I go the idea from someone else is worked for) that when I start to get a migraine and can tell it's coming on, if I take two potassium supplements, one magnesium supplement and coconut water or gatorade, I can fend off the worst of it. After the migraine hits

I know it's totally off topic - but squatting is apparently better for pooping too. http://www.slate.com/articles/health_and_science/science/2010/08/dont_just_sit_there.html

I know about the blond. I'm hoping that's just for the online ad. It looks like there are other websites with the collection with broader ranges of color, but i'd sure like to find them in a store so I can see them before I buy.

Check this out - at Ulta: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod1610097 Woohoo!

Sweet! Thanks for the input. i wasn't sure they were available for us little people anywhere. I will definitely be on the look out.

I remember when this photo was taken, there was speculation that she had bang "extensions," that somehow kinda clip in. Around the same time I seem to remember that comment about other celebrities as well, like once for Jessica Alba. I am definitely interested. I love bangs, but they are a lot of upkeep to keep how

Do you think you can "fake" body issues until they become real? Not like fake bulimia or anorexia or anything of that nature, but the basic fear that your body, face, or hair isn't good enough. (I'm apologizing in advance because I know I probably phrased that wrong and I really don't want to offend anyone or sound

"But I can see how a girl in a less isolated environment might have difficulty avoiding the bullshit pressures of pop culture/society at large."

Yes, Disney definitely pushes the "youth is better" thing. But, I didn't see her as young in the photo above. More just a generic hollywood age - could be older, like Cruella DeVille; or "younger", like Lindsay Lohan.

I know. I thought I would not like it, seeing as how I am a book hoarder and love everything about books beyond just the words - their textures and smells. And, I guess to a point I miss that. But, the Kindle just makes reading so much more accessible that I am reading a lot more now and can't imagine life without

You beat me to this. Talk about misinformation!

Sorry, one last comment. To me, her actions were even more compelling after taking into consideration that she lived in a time period when most women couldn't provide for themselves and had to rely on a man. She was willing to forgo the stability she could have had for the sake of doing what she thought was right.
