My problem with Endgame is that Infinity War made me actually give a shit about the MCU, and I was desperate to find out what would happen next.

EndGame all but convinced me that none of this actually matters. It’s a movie far more obsessed with being fanservice and serving as a “victory lap” for the entirety of the

You could argue that Endgame is more sensation than substance, more fan service than art. You probably wouldn’t be wrong.

I remember watching Endgame in the theater thinking “Hmm, there were 6 original Avengers, and they just killed the only woman. I get it that it’s important for the plot, but this doesn’t look or feel right.”

I mean really. Widow and Hawkeye nearly killed each other so one of them could throw themselves off the cliff. And Hulk even talks about how he tried to bring her back when he un-snapped the snap, but it wouldn’t work.

Uhhhh.......

No mention of Black Widow?  I was surprised by the line that Tony Stark was the only one to sacrifice himself when Widow got fridged.  I loved Endgame but Black Widow’s death was problematic.  It’s one of the primary reasons that girlpower pose feels empty.

In the end, the only one who has to sacrifice himself is Tony Stark

I loved all of the MCU movies except Endgame. A greatest-hits compilation of old movies with no new characters and a weak gentle Spock-Hulk is a nice way to end things but it sure was not new or exciting or interesting. My favorite part was when they showed Thanos figuring it out because at least that was new plot for

Am I the only person who thought SM:FFH was good but didn’t care at all about it? The cast and characters are great*  and Mysterio was another great “Gone too Soon” villain. And my God Happy and May were just the cutest,** but I don’t think I’ll watch it again.

Thank you, Ms. Freelon! A thousand thank yous!

That whole idea of a new, $60 buck, the full monty game basically having a “real” shelf life of four months is completely fucking insane. When I went to pick up Mass Effect: Andromeda for my article, it was under twenty dollars, and it couldn’t have been more than six, seven months since the game came out. These teams

I will get back to DA:I this weekend, which I’ve been putting off (even though I have GOT OUT OF THE HINTERLANDS). Instead a few weeks ago, GoG had a big sale on Wadjet Eye’s adventure games, which followed on the heels of some positive comments about their Blackwell series by a certain Apple Merchant of this Parish.

I respect the Tahani/Eleanor shippers, but my heart belongs to Chidi & Eleanor. I just love them the most, and I love their dynamic and their friendship and they are just way too adorable.

The April plot device is obviously terrible, but hiding important information isn’t exactly out of character for Luke — there’s the Twickham house purchase and the whole dark day thing...and didn’t he hide being married?

Meanwhile, Janet Jackson is sitting at home, going “Oh, I see.”

I’ve compiled all of the films Breihan picked where users can track how many they’ve seen:

Thank goodness Ted Danson just won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actor, because the joyful, layered, rich, silly performance he’s been giving in this show is sublime. The fact that he’s not even been nominated by most other award shows is a travesty.

I feel like the only person in the world who loved finding out that Snoke was a maguffin. I think it’s hilarious and delightful.

Or, alternatively, “Please stop taking everything I said completely and totally out of context in order to use me as your borrowed authority to shit on a man I really liked working with.”

This is the most frank and honest think piece I’ve read about the “death” of indie rock. It both admits it’s a “thing” but at the same time doesn’t overblow the situation and even goes on to say that a lot of these beloved bands are still releasing great music, it’s just not the music that is currently shifting the
