Yeah. I was always kind of annoyed the show made her seem ‘inoffensive’, but her kind of flaky can really fuck up a kid. And this is the better version of Liz.

For me that’s it, really. All her other boyfriends were wittier, maybe - Luke can keep up with her, he just has a different style, btw - and exciting, but nothing else. (Except for Max. Poor Max.)
I think there’s some factors at play there. GTA is not the equivalent to Handmaid’s Tale but rather to something like Superhero movies - while indie critical darlings, something like Undertale or Gone Home, are closer to prestige TV shows or arthouse movies -, but game criticism works differently. They’re not…
Uh, I’m surprised people enjoy accents when people are supposed to be speaking in their native languages. It doesn’t make sense for a Russian character to have an accent if they’re speaking Russian, so why add it? I always thought it was a really silly convention.
Zama was a novel about waiting, so it was the perfect fit for Martel. And about the only movie of hers I’m interested in seeing.
The thing is - this is not actually a misuse of the DMCA. There’s some LPs that might be fair use, but largely they aren’t. Companies let them do it because it brings them money, not because they weren’t in their legal and moral rights to control their IPs. The Firewatch people have every right to decide their content…
IDK, Let’s Plays are kinda on a grey area. Like, they’re not clearly not copyright infringement (the way parody or criticism or reviews are, for example). But at the same time they’re not exactly the same as uploading an entire movie. There’s a reasonable argument it is, actually, the developers’ content.
And I think that reading that as Richard being angry he lied about Lorelai is... really not how I remember it? I rewatched GG last year.
That happened to me and it was really frustrating. It’s not exactly signalled that you’re not supposed to win. If my brother hadn’t told me, I would have given up in frustration. Instead, I gave up in the next boss fight.
(I really like their debut album too. And Boxer over Alligator. Trouble Will Find Me might be my favourite, but that’s also because I listened to it non-stop doing a very nice trip.)
X-COM 2 is the only game that has made me wish to upgrade my computer. :(
I listened to Carin at the Liquor Store on repeat for a few days. Such a great song.
Absolutely. I felt I was trying to survive even during the endgame, where I had enough materials for anything I wanted/powers/etc.
It’s so atmospheric and I LIKE the emptiness. Plus the snoring dragon is cute.
I loved the bits of DA:I that were a DA:O reunion.
She does and it’s really fun. I love the DA:O reunion bits of DA:I.
Yeeeeap. I feel like an old lady, but learn your history, kids! It’s hilarious (and I don’t appreciate you trying to kick me out of my own space).
Oh, yes, it totally was an very influential fandom during the 90s, like anime fandom in general or Buffy. But I think that Holmes and Star Trek, in terms of the kind of fandom Caroline is talking about, are... pretty much the ur-fandoms, even if I was never in them.
I... actually have no idea. My brother has the PS4, so it can’t be FFXII or Nier:A. I have around 90 games on Steam I’ve barely played so probably one of those!
I deeply love the Hissing Wastes, even if my rational side says that it should’ve been cut. Wicked Eyes is a great quest, probably my favourite one (and with Emprise/the Graves, you’ll have tons of background for what’s going on).
