Yeah, the 85 percent of the country that has no idea what Roy Rogers is or where they’re located.

QB is unquestionably the most important position in sports. You can’t win consistently without a great QB.

I’ve lived in Los Angeles and worked in the entertainment industry since 1992. You are wrong.

You’re the reason that people feel the need to start groups like MGTOW, #NotAllMen, etc. Stop doing that. You sound like the fat white redneck that sees a black guy steal a candy bar and then proclaim I TOLD YOU THEM NI**ERS WERE NO GOOD BLM MY ASS!

Letterman had a consensual relationship with a 34 yr old woman, dipshit. Lets not conflate what he did with rapey behavior.

Uh okay.

(Obi-Wan voice) Greg Miller... Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time. Long time.

Totally unfair to compare him to Sidney Ponson. The career ERA+ for Jackson is 90, and Ponson’s is only 89.

I can believe he’s 34. I was in high school when the Dodgers called him up with hype that this 19 year old would be the next Fernando Valenzuela and *fart* he was the next Sidney Ponson.

I don’t think it was nearly as profound as people are making it out to be. A teenager is embarrassed of her family’s status and rebels. I thought the beginning was pretty boring, and it could have ended about 30 minutes without the “I guess I really do miss home” message at the end. Lady Bird the character was

I think the difference is Crash was really trying to make us think “Okay, this racist is actually a decent guy in spite of it all” whereas Three Billboards is more cynical and thus ambiguous.

I haven’t seen this yet, but it seems unfair to me that someone with a rotten character flaw can’t also carry some good in them. Otherwise everyone’s just a stereotype, and that’s not particularly interesting.

Actually, I don’t think Three Billboards remotely cares if it is viewed as “woke”.

Agreed for sure. My ire is aimed at Twitter - and if I think about it, it’s really a dislike of lazy analysis on these grounds. If someone had a GOOD writeup about the Marxist/feminist/gay/chicana view of Three Billboards, I’m in. But I need more than 280 characters of snark.

One thing I liked about the film was that it didn’t go in the direction I thought it would. I went in thinking that Woody Harrelson would be the villain, but it turns out that, actually, there is no evidence, and that’s why no one has been arrested. I think too many movies paint their villains and heroes in broad

Again, the racist cop gets fired for his violence (by the new police chief, who is black) and then gets half his face burnt off. If someone wants to see a racist cop suffer then it’s all there.

The amount of people here saying “I haven’t seen the movie yet, but here’s what I think about it” is embarrassing.

He gets fired and gets half his face burnt off. It’s not as though the film does not ‘punish’ him.

So we just have to bitch about everything now, huh? That’s fun.
