To be honest, even as someone who actually likes (or used to like) Sonic's extended cast, I've come to the conclusion that damn near every problem experienced by post-Adventure Sonic games is in some way connected to the expanding cast.

@Variatas: If you play the originals, you'll find the 'slipperiness' has been toned waaay down since old times.

I've never played the game, I'm not even entirely sure what it is, but I can see from all this attention that a lot of people have had a lot of fun with it.
