Turns out cleaning up the Twitch chat did not cost them anything. It’s almost as if keeping your online community open to trolls and shitposters has no advantages whatsoever. Huh. Who knew.

There are several re-streams of the marathon that are done with french, german or japanese commentators and often these communities focus on some donation incentives. I wonder if the french re-stream is responsible for Breath of the Wild’s horse being called Rochefort as a very popular french actor, Jean Rochefort,

Another great run of AGDQ.

I don’t think it’s particularly self-righteous to believe that deliberately shit-posting hate speech, hateful memes, or much of anything else that’s designed to shit on another human being “FOR THE LOLS” isn’t a good thing.

But, hey, keep looking for moral equivocation between people who think “muh freeze peach” is a

Most HDDs will spin up when power is applied as well. But in my experience the PSU fan should spin when you turn it on even if there is no load.

Learning the true horror of every PC builder — figuring out which little pin goes with the power switch.

I don’t necessarily believe there’s that much overlap between the people spamming whatever in Twitch chat and donations. Last year they had a semi-reasonable Twitch bits goal to reach for a donation incentive, and they barely got halfway through the total.

The first build is always the hardest, but not just for the obvious reason of you don’t know what you’re doing. Its also the hardest because you likely don’t have any spare parts lying around so you can swap them in to figure out which one is broken.

That’s pretty much it. A small group is fine, but with that many people it’s just a straight drip feed of a 13 year old id. Supporters and active members of the community won’t care. The only thing that’s suffering is all the free accounts won’t be able to spam messages about how they don’t like brown people.

This exactly. The little titty babies are mad they can’t post hate speech and are stamping their feet and throwing a tantrum. Chat was actually readable last night.

first they came for the 12 year olds spamming slurs, and I said nothing ;.;

Oh look, Consequences! No wonder people are upset, they haven’t had to deal with such a concept in a while.

Honestly, what’s the appeal of Twitch chat when there’s more than like 50 viewers? It’s literally impossible to decipher any one message when they’re all scrolling by that fast, so there’s no point typing anything nuanced, and spamming emotes is just pissing into an ocean of piss.

Uhmm... Weren’t the pyramids built a few thousand years before AC:O takes place?

Yeah, the entire FPS genre was called “Doom clones” until it became established enough to become its own thing. And like Doom, PUBG was not the first of its kind, but merely the first to be a runaway success. And even then, PlayerUnknown himself admits that he got the concept from a movie.

I mean, Fortnite brings something unique to the burgeoning genre by way of the destruction/building mechanics. This looks to add classes with unique abilities. PUBG is not the first of its kind and it was inevitable it wouldn’t be the last.

Battleground is just a word. I don’t know why people are trying to protect this game like this, nobody made a fuss when the first deathmatch mode was copied, and the term deathmatch too.

While PUBG made the game mode popular, I’ve been watching Minecraft Ultra Hardcore games since The Hunger Games movie came out. The genre feels much older to me then last year.

The way America is currently trying to reckon with its unspoken realities of abuses of power against racial, sexual and gender minorities…I wish gamers would have that sort of community soul seeking endeavor. Painful and violent and with gnashing of teeth though it may be, I think we owe it to ourselves and the world

Schreier, no! Don’t buy a pre-built machine!

Get yourself a buddy who’s built a machine before (or do it yourself if you’re feeling brave), head over to Newegg or another parts wholesaler, and part out your desired rig.

You’ll save at least 40% (and likely more) off purchasing a pre-built machine, and you’ll have the
