Beside the point: if you have the PC version, why not hook up/stream to your TV from your PC? Plenty of your fellow PC Gamers connect to a TV+wireless controller.
Heh, “barren” at the end? With all due respect, I think you might just not like some of the games that came out, and that seems down to your personal preference, not Nintendo. Both Xenoblade Chronicles X and Fast Racing NEO have stellar reviews, and are being well-received.

First one on the Wii was awesome — putting aside my gaming PC (and all those games!) this month for Xenoblade Chronicles X.
Local play is hilarious fun. And, you only need one game cartridge between the three of you. It’s awesome.

I did it. I’ve been rocking the Link to the Past 3DS, with the Triforce cover. Of course I preordered this new and different Triforce cover n3DS. I mean... how could you not?
Then again, I also have the Limited Edition Windwaker Zelda Wii U, so...
