First off, if you think Venezuela is legitimately far-left, you need to research politics more. Venezuela is a highly corrupt, corporatist state with the wealth at the top that brands itself socialist so the people fall for it. Clearly, they aren’t falling for it anymore.
And did it matter in the end? No. Le Pen still got steamrolled, and the side of good won out.
Even the far left didn’t really support her. Melenchon never outwardly endorsed Macron but he told his supporters to not vote for Le Pen.
Something that people seem to ignore is that for the time, the Gremlin was a fine car. Didn’t have the exploding fuel tank of the Pinto or the rust problems of the Nova.
