A previously unknown intelligence shoes up on multiple parts of the earth, many of whom have no condigency plan in place for this or are in control of right wing fundamentalist religions, many of whom would have disagreements internally on how to react let alone the international disagreement on how we should react.

Why wouldn’t it cause an international crisis? I’m probably more of an optimist when it comes to humanity but yeah... There’d be crisis’s going off all over the place.

Which is why we use telescopes that can “see” and hear across a much broader spectrum.

You’re being cute, but those totally work. After I used one I never got that failure to rewind fee again.

Okay, but after finding out the EPIC TWIST, I have to give the guy props for how he set this up. He took care to only focus on games or movies that came out in the late aughts. He knows exactly where they are and makes a beeline for them so we don’t see the newer stuff. The camera lingers on the Wii and Xbox 360

But... the Iron Man poster... the Gears of War 2 poster.. the era appropriate video games on display, the over abundance of regular Wii games.... it... it has to be 2010.

You could always root for a good team.

This isn’t bad QA, this is bad programming (or maybe bad designers depending on how its set up). In every game I’ve been a part of, displaying text on screen always has to go through a lookup table of the dialog for the game, and to localize, we just swap out the table. There is no “overlooking” a line of text because

me neither

So now go watch this to cleanse your musical palette:

I tried to like it, but I can’t. I’ll never get the appeal of metal, and especially of metal covers. I have a ton of friends who love the Marilyn Manson’s covers of “Sweet Dreams” and “Tainted Love” or the Disturbed cover of “Land of Confusion”, and they are baffled when I tell them I like the originals much better.

That gets a big “eh” on my Metalometer.

Not as bad as the Ohio State marching band’s rendition of Sweet Child O’ Mine at Happy Valley.

Silicon Knights, Rare & these guys all had something in common....Nintendo. Although this is their first game and I may be jumping the gun a bit, not one of them held up to their former glory after they left. What does that tell you? I won’t subscribe to any argument that most of Rare developers left. They put forth

I like this idea, it makes all the old EU stuff I read not completely worthless, thanks for the new perspective.

Problem is that I went through all of this with the old EU and have absolutely no interest in reading totally different stories about the same time period. I’ll go see the movies because they look fun, but it’s gonna be hard to get me to spend more money on books or whatever because I already have dozens of them.

I just can’t view it like that or waste a second of my time being angry about such a thing. They really are a tiny team working on one of the biggest things a small company shouldn’t have undertaken. All of those “lies” were stated in pre-release while the game was still in development, and as any long time gamer
