I had an 01 GTI VR6. I still miss that car and occasionally dream I own it. It would have been perfect if not for the legendary VW unreliability it had. In 36k miles it lost 2 or 3 MAF sensors, engine mounts, and at least 8 other electical gremlins. Damn I miss that car.

The timing belt / water pump change is huge. This is the bad financial decision car I’ve always wanted and these two items are definitely the largest interms of cost and importance. The color scheme doesnt exactly make me excited, and its maybe a bit high, but not crack pipe high. Really buying this kinda car is not

    Step 2: become Florida man...

    Reminds me of this...

Almost voted NP, then saw it was in Miami which flipped the vote. I’m skeptical of all the hand waving that is all the other cars. Why do we need the distraction?

If Nissan wants competitive cars, they will bring back RWD and non CVT automatics ASAP. Oh, and don’t make them all look exactly alike with slight size differences. I still laugh at the Car Bros video where the same Nissan sentra is displayed as he lists off all the cars Nissan is “killing it” with.

I would wish you success and great health and fortune, but this garbage comment forum takes an act of Congress to be an approved poster. I don’t know what I have done to be shadow banned for the 3 years I’ve frequented but I’m always on the verge of leaving because of that.

bonus points for the Joe Walsh reference

This is the jacked up Lamborghini countach of my fever dream. I’m happy tesla took a design risk. 10/10 approved.

    Isn’t that dead naming?

Rob you got me all excited that this was going to be some crazy Mustang II body over a Model 3 drive line frankencar that was going to be your hat tip to the Mustang Mach 3. That was the only way that I could figure this (well cared for) POS would be in the ball park of this price.

And people question why Pontiac was shut down...

false dichotomy. Just because a 100k car is a bad idea doesnt make this a good idea. The over filtered pictures, mix of temporary and permanent plates along with the fact that 8200 is more than I just want to throw in the gutter when it breaks. CP. plenty of work needs to start happening at 155k. None of it is cheap

When you sell furniture, its easier to apply a brand name across product lines without riling the enthusiasts. I think people will remember James “buddy” Hackett’s tenure at Ford as either disastrous or brilliant. Initially I thought it was the latter, but I’m pretty sure its the former now.

I want that willys- can you deliver it down to texas?

I suppose I could get behind this example since the hydraulics allow for adjustment. My thought is that you took a classic car and took one thing you didn’t have to worry about (the suspension) and made it temperamental and unreliable.

This is sound advice. I test drove a Jeep Wrangler for my step son, and I had forgotten how small it is on the inside. While the 3.6 is serviceable it isn’t a very powerful feeling vehicle. For him I was fine with the Jeep being a bit slow, but I would never want a wrangler for daily driving. Plus it ended up being

I’m in Richmond just south of Katy. Same story. No Supras on the road from my house to downtown on my daily commute.

I am not overly surprised that for the very important launch of their flagship vehicle GM hand picked a ringer. I would like to see a few customer vehicles on the same dyno, but it could be that GM is using the “german model” for rating their engine this time around.

I was NP until I saw the rear wheel arch alignment shot. Then I thought about how my middle aged back would feel falling in/climbing out. Then I just couldnt get over how the back wheels look in that “stance”. So CP for me.
