I like it too, it reminds me of the time when 3d video games were new and when you would crain your view and see the artificial diamond shaped light remnants.

Yeah, that’s his shtick but to be fair, it’s less annoying than the insufferable kid character Spielberg needs to include in all of his movies, the “tits + explosions = $” Michael Bay shtick, the “Acting be damned” method Lucas employs when casting, or the shakey cam every other director has decided to employ of late.

Super 8 did indeed rock. I think it’s just fashionable to hate Abrams right now, granted into darkness wasn’t very good but the rest of his catalog is enjoyable at worst to phenomenal at best.

I don’t disagree, my argument is that it’s not a bad movie, not that it’s the best star trek movie.

I’m not saying that the star trek reboot is the greatest movie ever or anything like that. Besides, new trek 1 is far from the worst of the star trek films.

Winter soldier was awful.

Meh, the quality of their films has steadily declined, Ultron was a hot mess, there’s one good IM flick and I think I’m the only person alive who thought winter soldier was bad. If you look at their history though it’s more misses than hits, and I don’t mean box officer hits. Gotg, Thor 1, IM 1, Avengers 1 and ant-man…
