If you find the Fast and Furious movies to be super cheesy, unbelievable, and too wild for your tastes, you aren’t going to like this one.

I believe it was the German Juggalo Freddy Neetzchy who once wrote “He who surveils clowns might take care lest he thereby become a clown. And if you gaze for long into a circus, the circus gazes also into you.”

It’s difficult for any story to make me feel sad for a police officer these days, but these women didn’t deserve this kind of treatment. The other officers in the story remain scum.

You crawl from sewer to sewer. Perhaps literally.

So what you’re saying is that we should listen to the experts, except not the ones you cited?

Weird that you link to that and not AACAP’s actual discussion of trans kids. Almost as though you had a reason for the sleight of hand.

This piece has disappointing overtones of the worn out trope that surfaces every November - December:

As someone who has worked and commuted during the entire pandemic, I can’t tell a difference. I see the same amount of people crossing lines, not signaling, hogging the left lane, speeding ,and tailgating as there’s always been.

Sorry Liz, but Chris is wrong. Engines are designed to run on the recommended octane rating, no more no less. Getting premium gas when the engine doesn’t call for it is simply a waste of money and yields little, if any, benefits.

Now that we’ve reached the dystopian future described by Robocop, my only question is where is my 6000 SUX?

Of course the police are in favor. They want to be able to moonlight for private security companies, or work for them once they retire from The Force.

A religion is just a cult that outlasted the other cults.

CAPITALISM IS NOT FOR EVERYTHING. Whether or not you like the police we have now you do not want “protect and serve” to become a product of the free competitive market. I understand private police would go with your private prisons so that you would have a “matching set" ITS A BAD FUCKING IDEA BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN

So it’s an app that calls the police and tells them a Black man s bothering you?

Productive = making Amazon more money. Pausing work to investigate racist symbols = protecting the psychological and physical safety of actual human beings.

In 1966, my freshman year, one of my professors stated that internationally the major problem the US faced was Vietnam and nationally it was race.

“does not have security cameras”

A giant worksite like that doesn’t have any cameras to protect tools/gear and also film any accidents that occur? I would think insurance would require them.

Here in NYC, every large construction site has security cameras everywhere.

College Republicans

e-bikes for most personal trips (to say nothing of public transit)“

I knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

I just work in IT and want to stop being treated like I’m useless. We make sure the company stays up and running, and that everyone can do their job, and we don’t even get invited to the holiday parties.
