Fun quirk here in Colorado (USA), if it’s older than 1975, you can just register it with no inspection whatsoever. I’ve plated several vehicles that didnt even run.

I have mad respect for a minivan man. But my short bed single cab can tow better and I’ve moved 3 friends in a single trip using a trailer, lol. (that said, one of my dream cars is a second gen chevy astro)
