You are correct, I have an 87 ranger with the ford 2.3, which makes something like 80hp but relatively light. It’s slow, but gets 21mpg all day long. Great commuter / parts hauler.

...and those end supports to click into for the inevitable failure, so they can still be useful far into the future.

also can be operated without looking in most cases if you know your car well

In winter i like: recirculate, A/C on but set to heat. The A/C will remove a lot more of the moisture in the vehicle.

At least for some older vehicles, the wheel slowly loosens from that. Generally means just having to take apart the steering shaft and re-tighten bolts. (77 GMC 1/2 ton w/tilt wheel in my case)

not a morning person. but i am a force to be reckoned with from about 2pm forward. (and well past when most morning people are back asleep)

This is lost on some. People go to Mecum and others because they are willing to pay more to have some assurances you won’t find on craigslist.

Adding the Walgreens across from Rite Aid at 16th and Stout, Denver.

I knew this... but the Yeti keeps it’s speed, so you can only get away for as long as you can flawlessly ski that fast. (not that much longer for most players)

Wish i had read jalop earlier this week to contribute. I once had a failed master cylinder and drove my truck home using the parking brake. (yes, danger to me and others, but it was about 3 am, so minimal enough for my satisfaction.)

Big dude here too. But maybe I could just wear a nice blouse/skirt/flats and we can keep it warmer in here. (or just stop making mens dress clothing so hot)

*RC Human. I don’t operate autonomously.

things i hate lately:

can too!!! lol. But really, there are people who suck at troubleshooting carbs too and just throw parts at EFI cars too until it works. both have advantages and disadvantages and people exist who suck at both.

I love my quadrajet. But you must have the cliff ruggles book, and you must read it all before you think you are worthy of taking it apart.

...same could be said of fuel injection...

Make them about the cars or build process. I don’t give a shit about the interpersonal drama.

There are people who hill start with an ebrake? I thought that was a joke or something. (my teasing is far outweighed by appreciation of another manual trans driver)

Not a question, more of a comment I hear: “Nice XXX, but it’s not as cool as my cousin/brother/friend ‘s XXXX, which has (unlikely feature) that gives it like another 1000hp/better handling.”

and beaters are my favorite, somehow a rusty heap that needs work every weekend isn’t the askers cup of tea.
