Definitely a novelty item, and while I don’t think i’d want to watch lord of the rings extended cut on it... I bet a few short films would by fun, then give it to some kids to play with.

I’d own a de-badged, well designed, very powerful replica. Something that’s not trying to be something it’s not, just a fun ride.

Different and unique people creating/destroying connections through circumstances... that’s like the premise of 99% of all stories. I bet in the good ones the differences are well thought out and drive great interaction.

Exactly. But I think diversity should naturally occur, and when it doesn’t... that’s just bad writing. They should have shame for their lack of creativity and imagination.

I bet they were more relatable than you think. How many of them did you emulate? You don’t have to be a robot to try and walk like one, and you don’t have to be a blue alien Jedi to use a stick like a lightsaber. If you can’t walk or grasp, these games get hard to participate in. Kids are adaptable, but diverse…

She definitely benefits from toys designed for her. But... that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t love a Barbie with a wheel chair too. Or a Frozen character who couldn’t walk or had a speech problem. Kids like popular and relatable characters.

Not disabled, but I have a sister with a degenerative brain disease. She’s 9, but functions more like 5, can’t use her legs, very limited use of her arms, no balance.

Yeah! fuk’m! My sister might only be 9, and function like she’s 5, but she needs to learn it’s not my problem to make sure she’s included! I’m going to go throw away her power chair right now and tell her to play with the normal dollies.

I feel ya. Same problem with any type diversity. These thing should just happen naturally without a campaign. But until they do, I’ll enjoy the little victories.

I dunno... I plan on getting my son a smartphone. Somehow if I find the ability to use GPS and an internet connection for good, I suppose he could too. (he’ll also have access to tools, pocket knifes, all things that he’ll have to learn to use responsibly)
