*le sigh* his post was well written and thought out... don’t care
i like this look but how’d he make that cut in the fender? jigsaw with a 4 tooth blade?
wish i could give you two stars.
LeMans Can-Am, step dad had one of these a few years back and couldn’t manage to get a few thousand for it in Denver. Granted it needed new decals and heater core... but still... it was a money pit that still makes him mad to talk about.
you can almost hear them.... “first!” “first!” “no i was first!” “I get to hold his hand!”
I have the 4wd version on my ranger... works great until you hit a pothole, crack, dip, then the camber change is so extreme you might need the entire line to get it back in line. At speed it gets “exciting”
obvious troll is obvious (i know i have enjoyed these topics, so go fudge yo self)
Yup... i’d take the money out of my grocery budget first. However... it does mean i might take my ranger (140 ci 4 cyl, 20 mpg) instead of my k15 (350 ci 8 cyl, 10 mpg) on my 35 mi commute, both are fun to drive in their own ways, but with the ranger i can have beer money left over.
i dunno... i can walk through a crowded area on foot safely avoiding others and getting where i need to go efficiently.
exactly. my first c10 (73) was about $650 (10 yrs ago) it was a county vehicle that didnt get much use due to the 2wd. had 80k miles. Since then I’ve had 2 4wd models (k10 and k15), $750 and $2k respectively. These aren’t expensive trucks.
I was almost a victim. I caught the photographer outside the room about to come in. I pulled the door closed behind me, got uncomfortably close and told her to never come back, and she didn’t.
My thoughts too. I think personally it comes down to whether it’s a price I’m willing to gamble on. (sub 1000 beaters/projects, lol)
I bet consumers are just getting more basic models and upgrading parts later if they want. (more budget minded)
“I couldn’t see, so cranking the wheel at random seemed like the best idea”
+1, My step dad looked for about 2 months for his this winter. Ended up getting a 98 TJ, 4.0, manual, 101,000 for about 8k. Great paint, immaculate interior... broken track bar mount. An afternoon with the welder made it all better. Most the ones he found were wheeled way too hard.
