I, for one, am glad they make you choose between a side arm and an anti-titan weapon. The titan weapon is almost a requirement so taking the Smart Pistol in your load-out (which unlocks at lvl 42) is a bit more balanced because you wont have an anti-titan weapon or another power-up.
