Having a govt pick the “universal solution” would greatly limit innovation in the design of devices. Next gen devices are already being restricted to the thickness of the USB-C connector...Apple at least made a connector that’s thin enough to last for a few more years.

How would this reduce any e-waste? If anything, having a proprietary connector would mean you’re less likely to throw away the charging cable.  All of my mini-usb cables I get I throw away since they’re usually junk, however those special cables you have to keep.

Ignoring cellular, is this even a viable solution with ISPs with data caps?

I had this issue last year with my 2nd grade son threatening his friends. Obviously, just a kid being a kid, but we (parents and teacher) had to explain to him in detail why he couldn’t do that and the school resource officer was kind enough to give him a good scare.

This is only going to waste taxpayer money and time (and not go anywhere), they should try to make a deal with him not to run for office in 2020 in exchange for just letting it go.

This is one thing I’ve actually noticed growing up (along with fewer insect), glad to see someone confirm it.

No one will ever agree on what “gun control” means, so it won’t happen. Plus laws have to be meaningful and enforceable, unlike the serial number one mentioned in the article.

Literally, all of them.

You can make a restaurant out of Cool Ranch tacos, chili cheese burritos and Baja Blast Mtn Dew.

It really shows how disconnected from their customers the company is....heck, they actually think people will think the “just kids” plan is a good deal!?!?

My cable company using modern technology and machine learning cannot accurately get to my home within a 4hr window, but you claim that people using 50yr old technology, which was mostly pen & paper, were able to launch a projectile hundreds of thousands of miles, holding three humans on top of millions of lbs of

That’s just going to get clogged full of Cheetos and Doritos crumbs.

*looks at magic mouse*.....yes, they will be better off.

Gizmodo is slowing becoming an anti-Republican site and are stereotyping all Republicans as anti-gay, anti-anything they believe in. Back on topic; a company releasing pride-themed merchandise doesn’t necessarily mean they care, it’s just a company trying to take advantage of something and make a few dollars.

I work for MS and use both not sure what the article is talking about it being blocked...maybe it’s a specific group that discourages it’s use...and I prefer Teams, it’s a better chat client.

Thought the police were part of the judicial branch of govt and not the executive and could only be ordered by a judge....seems dangerous to allow an executive branch to police the people.

The business model only works if they pay “employees” as little as possible so they can charge customers as little as possible....as it is now, it can’t be sustained and they’ll eventually die off along with most people’s method of affordable transportation and easy income.

This will be like finding water on Mars....for the next 50 years we’ll hear about how scientists have achieved quantum supremacy for the first time and fail to go anywhere with it.

XBox already has “remote play” for Xbox-Windows 10 machine on the same network, guess this just removes some of the artificial barriers.
