This is probably Sqaure trying to make up for the "disappointing" (as they themselves put it) sales of the original version. They'll polish it up a bit, put as little money as humanly possible into it and throw it out the door.

you easily can compare the two without the camera, being that the PS4 doesn't come with a camera, doesn't require it's use, and most people buying the PS4 don't even want it. Hell, a there's probably a small percentage buy it over the One specifically because it doesn't have a camera. So $100 price difference it is.
