The more I look at it, the more I love it. Instant fanboy.

Agreed. They nailed it. I no longer want a Rivian.
Yup, looks Korean or Japanese, not German. BMW has really lost the plot with it’s design language. They’ve even messed up the hofmeister kink, which was the one constant throughout the generations.
A quick search on AutoTrader shows 6 VR6 CCs for sale, all with over 100K priced btwn $8K and $12K. So this one is a rare bird. Still, the asking price seems way to high for all of them.
I wonder what amount of engineering, if any, went into maintaining structural and torsional strength. It’s not something WCC is known for.
Never driven the diesel but I had a 2.2L gas, 5 speed wagon that I loved. Drove cross country and all over California until the clutch blew out. Super comfortable and practical. Reliable too. My Dad had GL and STI sedans. Both were great cars and I think the STI was finally sold with 200K on the odometer.
R129 had a 12 year production run, not 25
Interesting. I’ll have to take note next time I’m in the area. Up here in the Burlinglame area they love their Teslas, Rivians, Lucids and Eurolectrics
Oh, interesting. Do explain.

Fine, I’ll type out “model” once next time and copy/paste. Thanks for the tip.
noted! Been trolling too many Tesla forums and its rubbed off on me
Burlingame/Hillsborough area. I was referencing the school pick-up line which is representative of the more affluent side of the Bay. I do see more Kais and Hyundais running around these days, but it pales compared to the number of Teslas.
There are videos of guys in Passports doing some pretty serious off-roady/overlandy stuff that will surprise you.
I live in SV and there are more M3 and MYs on the road than anywhere else in the country. MS and MX’s are slowly starting to fade away and looking at the cars in my kids school pick-up line, everyone that had an aging MS or MX replaced them with Rivian, Lucid, and ze Germans. No Asian brands but I suspect that will…
Clear Lake has Hoonigan still listed as WheelPro on their portfolio site https://clearlake.com/portfolio/
My observation of local Lucid drivers here in Silicon Valley, they tend to be ultra rich guys that get the latest shiny new toys, keep them for a year or so, and then move on. They either trade up to a newer version, or get something else that everyone is talking about at the time. $$ is not a factor.
BTW - This car has been on and off CL for months by this dealer. They are in the town next to me and plan to stop by to check out their tasty looking Integrales and a pre-merger AMG wagon - https://euroclassixcars.com/collections/for-sale
For the same price by the same seller, I’d rather have this: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/ctd/d/san-mateo-1969-fiat-124-sport-coupe/7772682380.html
A family member had a series 2 131 Abarth (not Abarth Rally). It was the stiffest riding car I’d ever experienced and everything rattled like crazy on the Dutch cobble stone roads. The car was only a few years old at the time and rust was already coming through the doors. But 12 year old me loved the design.
