Throttle “a device controlling the flow of fuel or power to an engine.” Pretty sure you can still call it that. Gas pedal? Maybe not as much.

If you want the most flash for cash the answer is Maserati Gran Turismo. They still make basically the exact same car still so if it’s nice and clean you probably couldn’t tell it isn’t new.
Similar boat with you. If you keep it nice you really don’t need to do a deep clean very often. That said I do use leather conditioner a couple times a year (well maybe like 4 times) and surfaces need to be wiped down regularly for dust, but deep cleanings are fairly far between.
Semi autonomous cars are a terrible idea but a lot of people view them as a means to an end - full autonomy. I don’t think that is a good goal either. Nothing is perfect. If you drive an autonomous car in the future you have to accept there is some chance, however small, it is just going to plow you headlong into…
I agree with you, red light runners are some of the worst. It seems to be varying levels of acceptable depending on where you live. I used to live up in the DC area and you’d have people accelerate up at a yellow and come flying through right after a red - which was bad but they were at least paying some attention to…
^^this. You sit in your car so that means it should be okay for other people to do it too... without asking. I get it’s a nice gesture to share but I have no expectation to use your stuff even if you’re cool with it. That’s just me. I drive my cars and they get rock chips but even I don’t touch the exterior (except…
This drives me crazy. It’s why I go to a small out of the way gas station very few people seem to use. It is a BP station but I guess who every owns it is named Chubby because shortly after starting to go there I started seeing $60 something dollar charges from a place called Chubby’s showing up on my credit card…
I like your line of reasoning but have to disagree. Even if Alfa’s aren’t good any more it’s still cool to own one/be a fan. The only person being a Browns fan is cool to is another Browns fan. Can’t think of a football analogy, maybe Alfa is the Celtics?
I like how they have tried to reference the EB 110 here but it’s just not coming together. Looks like something from Gumpert.
This is officially awesome and the first diesel car I think I’ve ever wanted. Price of entry seems worth it even if I just use it to piss off my HOA.
Sorry to hear about the accident. I had a similar accident in an off-road go cart/buggy a number of years ago (not on my wedding day). I rolled it over and instinctually put my arm out which I know is not the right move, but in the situation you just react. I got very lucky and my arm wasn’t locked and it didn’t get…
Not sure how it makes you a snob (unless you only like V12’s) there are plenty of cheap cars with different types of engines. I think this V6 sounds great and I like the sound of plenty of other 6 cylinder engines (albeit typically flat or inline). But when it came to actually put my money down I went V8 so I…
Drive them. I’m actually a big Z fan and I think they don’t get as much love as they should, but if you drive them back to back there’s no question on how much better the F-Type is. The sound alone is worth a good bit of it (V6 and V8 versions - no experience with the 4 cylinder so can’t comment). The Jag feels so…
FYI - anyone who puts ice in their scotch is a monster.
Is there a package that comes with pop up headlights as standard?
I’m not a huge fan of the look but it is totally an opinion thing. Where Corvettes have really fallen down in the past isn’t how it looks but how it feels. I know they build these to a price but my hope is that they up their materials/build quality game a little with the newest iteration.
I mean $55k is a decent chunk of change but definitely attainable and certainly something a lot of folks, if they love the car could work towards. We live in a world of $30k+ Camrys, how more attainable could they make it?
Millennial here. This author doesn’t speak for all of us.
I can’t argue with you on performance differences and price to performance has always been a Corvette party piece. But even the base 911 is so ridiculously capable. Other than bragging rights I have a hard time imagining enjoying a performance difference even on a track. However the 911 is a finely crafted and beautifu…
That is terrible. I’m pretty sure even my lawn mower could out accelerate a Corolla - and it’s a push mower. Counterpoint: maybe you could have just moved over to the right lane and let faster moving traffic through.
