I feel that people use the word "sentimentality" to describe anything they don't like about Spielberg. It obviously doesn't mean the other people who died are nobodies (considering the effort Schindler makes to save everyone else). The point of the girl with the rest dress isn't sentiment, it's a stylistic shorthand.

Same here — thought Mike was somehow going to defend Star Wars: The Uncanny Valley

Thank you for suffering, Katie, so that I could read this.

"None of us had any idea that this comment thread was going to be so amazing at the time. Except for our director, of course. I think he always knew all the way back in the morning of January 11th, 2017"

I feel something should be more than 6 months old when it gets an oral history

Counterpoint: Moonlight, while excellent, is about as much of "teen movie" as Forrest Gump is a war film

Taken, but they're never equals. He's always either
A. Being a dick or
B. Pushing her to change her life in some way. Better than being a dick, but still kinda…big brothery

I liked this episode the most of the four revivals. I like the wrapup with Logan a lot (say what you will about his rich douchiness, but Jess always looked down at Rory and Dean looked up to her — Logan was her only equal, and it always felt like a real relationship) and I liked how it ended. Good show!

I feel something HAD to be up with that. She got one shot (from a distance) in the first episode, then a very minor bit in the 3rd which — as you allude to — seems to be tailor-made for her character. So maybe the actress is sick or didn't have much time on set or something?

100% agree good sir

Agreed. I would take ANY of my favorite 30 Gilmore Girls' characters than 10 minutes of (the admittedly charming) Sutton Foster. Save that for the Bunheads followup

We get only 6 hours, give or take, of this season to last us forever, and 10 minutes are spent on a musical that advances no plotlines, nor gives any characters we like/love screentime, and whose joke is clear within 2 minutes? This was easily my least favorite episode of the revival. Thankfully the last one is

I liked it, but Act 1 is better than Act 2 which is better than Act 3. So in many ways, including its time lapses, it reminded me of The Place Beyond the Pines

This cast list is a sad reminder of careers that burned out or never quite made it

*Shrugs* To each his own. I'll confess I'd rather watch baseball on TV than go to a game, so no judgment here

I would argue that the same logic applies to many paintings. Books make all paintings appear to be the same size. Go to the Louvre and look at The Raft of the Medusa. It's really something

Make sure to also see some pictures of the great sites in the world without going to see them

That movie would have been so much better without the random avant-garde sequences which interrupted the narrative that most reviewers blithely pretended weren't part of the movie

Well this started with someone else making a proclamation, one which I thought was in error
