Sometimes I wish I were a heavyset Briton with a talent for polka. I'd be an easy winner on that show

"What I wanted was a plotless paean to art and creativity"
Quick Leo — team up with Joshua Oppenheimer!
Exactly. It is not a Die Hard clone in any real way
Well thankfully the Summer Olympics has plenty of black-people-ready sports to balance it out!
Also, Stephen Lang in Avatar.
The Wiki article is a bit silly — Rotten Tomatoes is only valuable for movies that came out since 1995 or so. I'm sure plenty of people gave Citizen Kane a negative review in 1941, but the (make it up) Chicago American's review is lost to the sands of time.
I love that you successfully used "loose" as a verb
Glad to hear a less than enthusiastic review. I watched all the Ripley movies one summer (with the exception of the Barry Pepper-starring Ripley Undergound which I couldn't find) and this was supposed to be the cherry on the top, but it just wasn't very good as a Ripley movie, and was fairly dull overall. Shame.

Yep in the video he says take your children to Tender Mercies — it has a kid in it
Aha but he didn't say it was better. He said it was better FOR CHILDREN. And that's weird
See I just don't understand how that can be "the big problem in the movie." There are 800 movies about fathers learning that, no, their FAMILY is the important thing. It's not wrong if one movie makes the claim that science and the pursuit of knowledge are more important than a nuclear family
That's fine by me. But the argument seems to be "They should be shut down because they're GAMBLING" when it should be "They should be shut down because they're poorly run or regulated"
Because marijuana was associated with lower income blacks and Hispanics. That one is stupid too. Pointing out another stupid law doesn't make this one better. Consistency among the laws is something I believe strongly in
Still feels like we're splitting hairs here: there are all manner of ventures which allow you to risk your money on something you have certain, but limited control over
But stock trading and in particular to focus on day trading, has very little to do with that. It's mainly making quick speculations, subject to luck
But no one seeks to shut down the NASDAQ
Well tell that to anyone who invested in Fortune's "Most Innovative Company" in 2001
Agreed. But no one is moving to ban day trading
