I understand your point. Mine is that you are making the assumption that she could have simply “had the surgery all on her own” if she hadn’t broken the law when that’s not true. There are a large amount of trans men and women who desperately want said surgery but are not able to have it due to monetary concerns

They supported Alexis and loved him/her dearly. According to the brother Alexis declared that she/he would be a man at times or a woman. “Gender suspicous” was the term Alexis used. At the time of his/her death Alexis was using male pronouns and living as a man.

Just read some of the stories from the South and Central Americans who end up there. It’s a nightmare of sexual abuse, theft, and even murder.
The government does nothing to protect them and many just end up locked in prison

I don’t think any of them asked for or deserved sexual abuse in the slightest but it aggravates me that these are some of the same women who made a living and built their career denigrating victims of various forms of discrimination and racism.
