It’s quite a thing to think there is a person who rents a car for that much money and then doesn’t want to pay more than one month’s rent to actually own a car.

You could always rent them one of your spare 39 vehicles that are sitting around your house/yard. It’s win-win, you get some extra money renting them the units, and the never ending repairs that you have to perform on them to keep them going provide you with non-stop content generation!

But profits. Sure, I mean, it’s bad for the global economy and whatever, but what about next quarter? THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS.

This is a very interesting situation. The Biden administration could sign an executive order to block the export of magnesium and impose a price ceiling on it. This would keep a lot of American jobs going until global production ramped back up. This is also limiting the free market, pissing off a lot of millionaire

I say this as someone who likes driving fast, who owns fast cars, and who is generally skeptical of adding more bureaucracy to our lives:

From an American, that is far from the most “comically American thing in the world”. I can think of things like:

If a company can’t get its shit together with several million dollars, that’s just incompetent bullshit and needs to be ridiculed.

Flawless.  Now make one out of a Fiero, you sick maniac.

Is every station on the Deere line simply threading and torquing bolts? Somehow I think there’s a little more than that to building a 15 ton combine, but hell, I’m not a union line worker, so what would I know

I also work in a plant - well, technically, beside a plant, since I'm in the office. We don’t put our accountants on the line because we’re not fucking stupid.

If they have to drastically change the design (which they almost certainly do just to meet pedestrian safety standards), I want to be in the room when they show it off.

And then you’d get fired. And then you’d wonder if there was some sort of group you could join to protect you from this kind of situation.

I don’t understand why the desk job workers agreed to do this. If my company told me to get up from my desk chair and assemble tractors, I’d call them fucking crazy and stay seated.

The kind of special idiot who thinks buying a 707-HP car will get them all the love and attention they crave so much in their lives?

We already know that Acura research marketing was showing off a “car based on a civic” and were asking if the people would pay $33,500 for A-Spec trim of it. That puts it about 1-2k over ILX A-Spec. Base and A-Spec are expected to be based on the new Si. The Type-S are expected to be closer to the Type-R drivetrain.

The wild thing is that another cis dude felt as though his perspective mattered more than, say, any trans people. Like, my dude, you wouldn’t accept a white guy telling you whether something was racist when a lot of Black folks were saying it was, why on Earth can’t you figure that same thing out when it’s about

What’s all this Star Track nonsense?

I was hoping it’d tell you that this truck is comfortable, but doesn’t really stand out otherwise.
