Many Audi dealers acutally operate this way right now. If you want a plain vanilla a3 or Q5, then they’ll probably have a stock to choose from. Anything else, if it it shoved on the dealer by Audi, is probably going to be a custom order. People with cash can afford to wait, and want to order exactly what they want out

guys like this are part of the problem. they should not be coddled or sympathized with. you think he’s a car lover? he’s a jerk. let me take this pristine whatever and abandon it in my yard so it will never be anything but rust and eventually Chinese toasters.

I see a lot of SRT cars and Hellcats where I live in North Jersey. Maybe I just notice them more. yeah, they’re really cool to look at and OMG the sound! That being said, they’re only really.. ‘more’ than my S4 on clear dry straight pavement. There’s a lot to be said for being the fastest one to highway speed while

How much did Tesla spend bringing the Model S to market? and they started from scratch.

you’re upset because you can’t get Kia’s take on a Toyota Venza?

my 2002 Tacoma looked like this when Toyota replaced it. Apparently, Dana Spicer ‘forgot’ to galvanize the frame

scope creep’ in the bridge engineering world, as well.

1971 240z into a full Fairlady with fender mirrors, light covers, flares, and G nose. Generous use of an aluminum block motor and a good turbo with lightweight bits throughout could get you one of the most beautiful cars ever designed with real racing chops to it and a curb weight dangerously close to 2000 lbs.

not thinking like a CEO.

I would take this over an A3 any day of the week, an that’s coming from a die-hard Audi guy. To be fair though, the A3 is a total piece of garbage.

I look at that escort GT with the automatic seatbelts and I can still perfectly recall the feeling of the strap wrapping around my neck from when you’d open the door and look down at the ground while it retracts along the roof and A-pillar.

YES. In fact, the past five (5) Audis we’ve bought or leased from new have been manuals. From our first 2006 A3, to my A4, to my Father in Law’s A4, to my S4 to my wife’s A4 we picked up from the dealer last week, they have all been new, and most of them special order. My wife’s new one was the last stick Audi had in

I disagree. They have feelings and they love you back.

If you’ve ever owned a 5 year old Ford truck, you’ll understand how you can justify the price of a new one in service costs and regular tetanus booster shots.

it’s price competitive with a F150 (or even an F250). the crew cab is nice, but it only comes with the vestigial bed (?!?).

this is a problem everywhere. the problem is that most builders have figured out that the majority of the cost to build, well.. anything, is in the labor to do so. Not the square footage, not the marble countertops, not the reclaimed wood floor (ok, maybe in the reclaimed wood floor).

even a tanker going boom shouldn’t have dropped a good condition bridge span.

1st) love the grille emblem delete. it’s amazing how much it cleans up the appearance of the car.

you’re thinking in terms of someone with the privilege of owning a car that can break down. For a lot of people who don’t have irreplaceable job skills, or can’t afford to deviate from a fixed budget.
