“From your original comment it seems like you don’t like indigenous peoples. I don’t know, maybe your people got slaughtered and force marched off of their land, too.”

This is a classic move by Agent Cob to cover his tracks.

“Some species were simply sitting ducks as other species migrated from one area to another.”

That isn’t true. There are lots of species hunted to extinction by indigenous peoples prior to the existence of colonization.

“tells us the [traditional indigenous knowledge] is as valuable and important as we have always said it to be and known it to be.”

They are coming from across the country. Assumptively this means using planes. Planes have a huge carbon footprint. There are lots of youths. If the youths cared, they could hold large demonstrations in lots of cities simultaneously.

Well after they do a bunch of unnecessarily polluting to get to DC, I am sure these little malthusians will set us straight.

“That debt has inspired a group of teenagers across the country to plan a march on Washington, D.C. on July 21 to kickstart a new, young climate movement under the banner of Zero Hour.”

While we should definitely work on climate change, this idea that we should listen to the political voice of people who needed a government PSA to stop eating tide pods is laughable. Kids know almost nothing and hearing their opinions on pretty much anything is useless.

Yeah, it’s really not hard. Want to get laid in DC? Don’t bring up politics. Don’t put your affiliation on your profile.

But not for planting small cassava farms. Cattle, yes. Soybeans, no doubt about it. Mining, yes again. Cassava, not so much.

Success is defined by population size. Polar bears are more successful when there are 50,000 of them than they are when there are 10,000 of them. The more a species is able to procreate and produce surviving off-spring, the more successful it is.

Do you know who plants cassava in the jungle? The descendants of the people who already lived there (maybe descendants from mixed-race couples, as the “invaders” did more than just plow into the soil, if you get my drift).

I couldn’t hate this statement more. We need to stop funneling eachother into red versus blue. I’m as liberal as they come, but I fucking love jetskis and snowmobiles, RVing, etc. The only difference truly is that REI is more of a mountain athletics store, while Cabela’s caters more to hunters and fisherman. Stop

Mccarthyism. Ever heard of it?

As someone that identifies as conservative and is both an avid visitor of Cabela’s & Bass Pro Shops but also a lifetime REI co-op member I’ve never once thought about REI as you do about Cabela’s. I love the quality of the products at REI from a camping perspective, but they don’t sell ammo for my hunting rifle or all

Weakness of intellect is you not having the ability to address the argument. The assumption is that we both assume the authoritarian breakdown of liberal (as defined by the enlightenment) society is bad. Unless you consider reigns of terror, failed governments, collusion with the Nazis, failed monarchal restorations,

Actually, I based it on the history of failure on the continent vis a vis authoritarianism. It hasn’t happened in Great Britain. It hasn’t happened in the US. It hasn’t happened in Australia. It is starting to happen in Canada, but mostly coming out of the Quebecois.

But come on, you can’t tell someone “tough shit” about their views, then get onto them about being insulting. I mean you can, but it’s hypocritical.
