I don’t get this idea that a 30 hour experience isn’t worth $60 when people regularly spend $20 on a 2 hour movie.

My mom. But I’ll be goddamned if I’m gonna mention it to her.
You couldn’t tell from that episode that the whole kidnapping thing was hogwash?
Fanwank: in this alternate timeline, the Presidency (particularly having been the same guy since 1993) has far more power and Appropriations doesn’t have the same weight to throw around. Maybe they exist mostly just to rubberstamp whatever the Executive Branch wants.
The Poe stuff at the start was terrible.
He’s in there a little bit. He’s the one that spies BB-8's trash basket disguise.
This was a perfect intro for the series and felt much more like the Star Wars universe in the original trilogy, than anything else Disney has done other than Rogue One. The new Skywalker Saga movies just don’t imbue the same tone, feel, and atmosphere in my opinion.
Trying to define television in the 2010s has proven just as great a task as keeping up with the surge in series,…
I just binge watched this series and I’m going back through the reviews, and you nailed it: her death bothered me as much as Omar’s. Two vastly different characters but man...they both really hurt.
There are also apparently about 4 cops in all Manhattan and none of them have radios.
They were the same guys who chased Kevin McAllister 27 years ago.
Helluva performance from Jean Smart. Obviously, the thermos-sized blue sex toy is the best spot of comedy.
Also I’m pretty sure his use of a cane at the end of the scene just before we jumped forward made it pretty clear he *did* have AIDS by then. (He was also limping when he was rushing to get objects from his sauna before they locked it)
Also I know Bobby actually did have a union job on the Deuce, but I enjoyed his line about getting his union job back and took it as a shout out to Frank Sobotka.
Loved the subtle reference to the wire. Black Frankie going off to Baltimore to help his cousin Nathan in the Lexington terrace projects. Nathan barksdale was the real person that Avon was supposedly based on.
I was taken aback by the absence of Lori’s death and its effect on the other characters, except for the brief cameo at the end. It was as if she never existed.
I do like that they got Cheyanne Jackson, who did some American Horror Stories as an American Hero Story actor
Me and my girlfriend were stunned when it happened.
Same, could only repeat "shit shit shit..." With my hand o er my mouth.
Same here, I yelled ‘shit!’ out of shock and sadness..
