Yup. “Open the pod bay doors, Hal.”
Yup. “Open the pod bay doors, Hal.”
I mean, it’s disembodied, but that doesn’t mean it’s not her arm
I haven’t seen anybody ham it up as wonderfully as Tim does on this show in a good long while.
I stan so hard for Andre Braugher and the entire core cast of Good Place for comedic Emmys, but Jesus, Olyphant does some amazing work as a hilarious, good hearted imbecile. He turns manic and anxiety into an art form.
I read Hank’s threat and final line as more hurt than scary. It’s not polite to dismiss and insult a guy after he saved your life. Hank is appealingly childlike! I liked how Thomas Friedman is now inspiring drug cartels, and badly. Great meta joke when Kirby Howell-Baptiste’s Sasha tells Barry that she would never…
According to the What’s On Tonight article, seems like it’s just a pre-air review. I’m just starting to realize streaming series might be getting this treatment now and weekly series will get reviews per episode.
The acting in this show by Barrymore isn’t particularly great, but the rest of the cast and the writing is stellar. I’m up to episode 5 of season three and have had several laugh out loud moments. More than several. The dialog is absolutely, absurdly, hysterical.
As long as I actually laugh out loud while sitting alone watching it at least once per episode the sitcom is a success in my eyes. Santa Clarita Diet is hugely successful in my eyes.
Next up: the exciting adventures of the Green Lantern’s cleaning woman!
I would like them to slowly change out the voices of Gary the Head with all of the firefly people.
Gary the Head (formerly Nathan Fillion, now voiced by Alan Tudyk)
And no mention of Trey’s proposal??
Control’s line “Struggle is pointless” does kind of nudge-nudge at the Borg, doesn’t it?
Last week’s episode was easily the best of the season, especially with Molly Shannon’s Emmy-worthy breakdown near the end. Really hope this show gets renewed ‘cause it’s definitely been a treat to watch.
I thought last week’s episode was great, hilarious but building to that heartbreaking moment where Shannon just lets everything pour out and I suddenly got how much this funny/sad season has been about this family grieving. This show is very funny but it constantly amazes me how Yorke and Tarver can instantly go from…
Nice to see a review for the show. It’s definitely worthy of coverage when season 2 comes around. This was an excellent first season. One of the best new shows I’ve seen in quite some time.
“Good night moon. Good night stars. Good night warp coil. Good night Klingons. Good night Romulans. Good night evil goatee-wearing mirror-universe duplicate. Good night tribbles.”
Kima Greggs.
Even though I had already seen most of this episode from the trailers, I still found it hilarious. Very much looking forward to this season.
