That makes the picture of the two of them together even more hilarious.

Something I just found out (don’t think I was mentioned): April’s twin wasn’t played by actress Phoebe Tyers, but her real life identical twin Claire Tyers.
He had Rey enter with absolutely no backstory, had the force select her and push her into the story, and then had her receive strange visions upon picking up Anakin’s lightsaber in a movie series that has highly emphasized the Skywalker lineage up to this point. If that isn’t intentionally setting up a mystery what…
Yeah. There’s definitely a side of me that wanted her to join up with Kylo, but he was pretty clear that joining up with him meant starting a two-person galactic dictatorship. Not exactly “breaking the wheel.”
This is an interesting concept to me. This film really hit the idea of letting the past go and it had a bit of a nihilistic streak with Benicio del Toro’s character. He said something along the lines of “They blow you up today, you blow them up tomorrow.” It got me thinking that maybe Rey should have taken Ben Solo’s…
I was simultaneously disappointed and absolutely in love with this entry.
I’m going to be completely honest - having Gina back for this episode after such a long time was a little jarring. I had kind of liked the cast without her, she’s like the one ingredient in a dish that’s a little too strong and her absence only made me notice it more. I’m not prepared to say that the show is better…
I never expected to enjoy Hitchcock as much as I did in these episodes, but his “Good call. It was not tasteful” and “I want to humiliate some hussies, and I’m in a hurry” were among my favourite jokes tonight.
“Anytime someone steps up and says who they are, the world becomes a better and more interesting place so.. thank you.” Holt’s game night pep talk (and that hug) is also my tear trigger. We do not deserve someone as gifted at both comedy AND drama as Andre Braugher on our TV screens. We just don’t.
It’s a weird three-quarters-or-so finale because I think there are only three left in January before season’s end.
I’m actally sad to see Dreamer go. Her powers were more non-traditional. She quietly stood by her unpopular decisions, which were usually for the good of the team. I was completely on her side when she used her powers to save the team, even if it meant mind whammying Clarice!
Soylent Green’s The Walking Dead Stray Observations: The Christmas Miracle Known as the Midseason Finale Special Edition
I’m glad Soylent Grenn’s TWD observations survived the Kinjacoplypse.
Soylent Green’s The Walking Dead Stray Observations: If These Suck My Lawyer Wrote Them Edition
I miss that show so much :(
You gave this a C-?
I found this episode fun. Stupid fun, but still fun. I figured Rawlins had lost all sanity and nuance as a way to bait the audience into really cheering on his horrifying death scene. I mean, Jesus Fucking Christ, that was ugly. That was really, really nasty, and the only way the audience was going to be okay with…
Joe’s made it a few more days several times now, and all he needs to do is wait until the seven starts to fracture, and then there’s a legitimate path to the end for him.
As far as I can tell he was trying to do a Joe / shake things up by trying to paint a target on his back, then to use his idol to nullify the popular vote so thy could vote out someone else... his execution was super lacking though.
Is it just me,
