There was a moment last episode when Owen went to console April that I thought they might reveal it was his kid! They never seemed to have had that close of a relationship (mentor/mentee at best) so the way he was reacting to her all episode seemed off.

Doing a ride along with Carl no less haha. Maybe it was intentional.

I think he actually wrote or directed the season premiere. He got the season started, similar to what many creators do. Kinda the point I was making. He'll likely write or direct the finale too. Sorry it keeps signing me in under different accts.

The timeline on this show has truly never made any sense. In real life its probably been 3 years but in "Empire Time" its more like 3 months!

That's exactly where I thought they were heading with it, before they appeared to drop it so fast. Still a chance Anika is protecting a secret, but considering this show's rep, I doubt it.

Lee Daniels has very little to do with the storyboard at this point. He got the show off and running but now others (Ilene Chaiken) carry the day to day including, writing and directing. The show carries his overall vision but the rest has her stamp on it.

Ilene Chaiken runs the show now, Daniels just collects a check. He obviously has a say, but I doubt he's complaining.

In typical Empire fashion we'll learn, in a way that makes no sense, that Cookie has been playing this guy from the jump, and im sure another classic one-liner will come from it.
