I'll admit this looks bad, but in the defense of MCW, he was on a team that was lottery bound BEFORE the trade deadline and historically bad after. He was being asked to do everything for a team which only had one other staring caliber player in it's lineup (Thad Young).

You have to take into account the length of his arms, people with longer arms have more difficulty doing bench press because their range of motion is longer. Clowney has a 7' wingspan, which is pretty freakish.
