...and added the rear from an AMC Matador just to be contrarian.

That is fucking hideous. It looks like someone took the Saab Aero X concept greenhouse, slapped on the front clip from a C4, then grafted on some C7 headlights but turned them sideways.

Why? That looks a high schoolers rendering after a few weeks using blender

It looks nice. I’m always wary about getting someone else’s project, especially since so many of these builds are done with homebuilding skills and not necessarily automotive skills. Skills that may or may not be code compliant let alone RV or automotive code. There is a lot that’s done with these “domestic” builds

I was about to post something like this, but you said it better.

When I was young, dumb, and getting into cars, I tried to find other people who were also into cars to talk to and, hopefully, learn from. What I learned is that most enthusiasts of a certain demographic (read: old white dudes in the Midwest) seem to

“Mid-’90s BMWs in general, but in particular the E39, which was a fat, dumpy soap bar that only gets any positive attention at all because people didn’t like the Bangle era and wanted to convince themselves that there was some sort of “last true BMW.”

The brown manual diesel wagon

My current theory is the older you get the more attractive Porsches become. Like the better they look. In my 20s I couldn’t understand why anyone would buy a new 911. Now I’m like...ooh, that’s nice.

Here. I’ll help everyone out....because I love you

Maybe if I lived on one of those East Coast islands that ban full size cars and have an island-wide 30 mph speed limit.

The seller should put it on Turo and just rake in the money.  I don’t want to own this thing but damned if I don’t want to drive it for an hour or two.  No Dice on owning this Green Peen but as a rental, look me up when it happens.

Yeah this idea is phenomally dumb until energy density goes up. You end up with some junked leaf batteries and 40 miles of range since the ex-ICE car doesn’t have room for a battery pack designed into it. Best chance on conversions is hub motors and filling the trunk and front with batteries, but then it’d handle like

There is absolutely no reason for an autonomous electric car to be shaped like that.

I’m guessing it won’t be long before some enterprising aftermarketeer will unleash some absurd heckblende to ruin the whole look (apologies if you’re into that sort of thing).

The rigidity of me, Saturday night at 2:15AM, trying to rip the wrapper off a Magnum when I’m five double Tito’s and sodas deep.
