These are called flagships, They bring prestige to the brand that a 40k car tech could not. This also probably has some premium margins to help finance the cheaper cars. These also are probably test beds for new expensive tech. There are a ton of reasons to produce hypercars for limited audiences.

With the lack of a six foot long hood like most current rigs, this clearly still comes out ahead. Not to mention that huge wraparound window.

prove it. once a bev is built its use of fossil fuels is done. renewables are a larger source of power generation every year. some people like me are on 100% solar plans. you could theoretically power your bev using only energy generated at your own house. ice will always need to feed the machine through drilling…

Lots of negative comments here, so I’ll throw in my opinion. This is a beautiful car, and decades from now we will probably look back on the Model 3 as a milestone car, the one that brought electric drive and autonomy to the masses. Think of it as a 21st-century Model T.

I think you’re not paying attention to current design trends. do you see any obnoxious holes in the front bumper pretending to be brake vents? Fake plastic mesh “grilles” where the rear bumper should be? Chrome origami tailpipe bling? Crease lines intersecting with other crease lines intersecting with accent lines?…

The system cancels the sounds associated with the "road noise", so it will probably target specific frequencies and only sounds that keep repeating. It won't cancel the sirens.
