Ms Haack looks foxy.  I don’t mean that in the traditional sense.  She looks just like an anonymous Fox News anchor/correspondent.

It’s literally been done! My mom taught at what people refer to as an “inner-city” school and taught Romeo & Juliet along with West Side Story (then populated with mostly white or white-passing people, but this was the 1960s). It can be done. And it’s not about simply replacing white people with POC a la Hamilton.

OMG, you did not read the article and have not been paying attention. CRT is a theoretical way of viewing a text and something only taught in college and especially law school. I took a class called Feminist Legal Theory in law school and not once have I worried my kid might be taught this in primary school! Literary

That’s about all there is to say. Luckily, she has a great family and support system. They were able to get her a lot of help. She’s doing really well now, but it took years.

My soapbox: Even women who do come forward immediately are abused by the system more often than not. My friend was drugged and abducted from a bar. She was beaten, assaulted, and dumped unconscious alongside a highway in Colorado in the middle of winter.

Behold, Phylicia’s long history of Excellent Character Judgement:

Smart man.

He just stared at me like I was crazy, reached across and touched my arm saying “Nice thought, but institutional racism will always separate those two. Even if they become the best of friends, their opportunities will always be different.

Ms. Spears seems like she could live with the notion of a conservatorship if only her father were removed from any control.”

Yeah the problem with the “right person for the role” thing is that it’s used as an excuse to not hire dark-skinned people.

A lot of good advice here. Opening up was something I was never good at and it usually had a negative impact on relationships. While I did believe being able to communicate was good, fear and shame held me back. So my unsolicited advice is make the effort. Don’t keep fucking things up like I did.

The idea that Covid-19 either originated from the WVI or as a result of sample collection without proper PPE seems credible. Dismissing it outright feels naive at best, and fuels distrust of media and government.

Ever lived in the suburb? Been to a school? Used a water fountain? Been to a diner? Lots of those used to be whites only, and you must apologise immediately. And don’t get me started on buses, boats, and the military!

Ellie didn’t say “hey, I have a gay black friend, no way I could ever be racist

The only response that was warranted:

thanks!

I want to be on record as saying if those pictures materialize of Trump, I BELIEVE YOU THERE IS NO REASON TO SHOW ME!

As in dude who shot Reagan?

I completely get what you’re saying. For better or worse, our brains work similarly. Maybe is media outlets had spent the last 20 years (or more) thinking a little more clearly about what should be published, overall we’d be in a better place.

As with everything, there’s a high road. Bluring, zooming in on the tattoo, there are steps that could have been taken. The Daily Mail is in the legal right, but coulda doesn’t mean shoulda.
