I completely get what you’re saying. For better or worse, our brains work similarly. Maybe is media outlets had spent the last 20 years (or more) thinking a little more clearly about what should be published, overall we’d be in a better place.

If this really is a "justified" shooting, then the video "should" support that. My guess is that it doesn't. Or at the very least, that it's inconclusive. Either way, if they have nothing to hide, they'd release the video.
