The simplest reason was a bunch of drunk jackasses decided they could push around a single, Black man just going about his job. It was a sense of Might over Right. (It doesn’t even take into account the idiots shouldn’t have been piloting a boat if they had been that stupid drunk.)

I hope legislatures around the country start paying better attention to voters and stop with the non-sense. This single vote shows the position on abortion is not what MAGA or Right-Wing Nutjobs tell people it is, or should be.

Given the returns from counties Trump won, Republicans were against this measure. Not sure if that reflects their views on abortion (knowing that this was really the litmus test for November) or if it was some common sense entering the picture about ceding to much authority to Elected Officials?
