It’s not really sintering in the way Bugatti is doing it. It’s selective laser melting and it’s actually welding each layer to the one beneath it.

I think he’s referring to traditional sintered/powdered metallurgy which requires powdered metals to be molded, then compressed and parted. I don’t see how that’s possible with the amount of slides and complicated geometry shown in the final Bugatti part.
