Google needs to have a way to make this appealing and achieve critical mass QUICKLY. Slow uptake and failing to achieve critical mass is what killed Wave (besides the fact that there's quite a learning curve there) and will soon kill Buzz.

Clearly enterprises aren't putting much into that. Meaning the benefits outweigh those disadvantages. It's a small price to pay!
