After the game, Kane fell on his sword...but he missed.

I read this somewhere. What’s great about England is that you can have no expectations and they’ll still disappoint you
It appears Roy Hodgson is the only man in England with a coherent plan to leave Europe.
Beatified? Raising the dead is Jesus level stuff. So what I am saying is that Tebow is probably Jesus. He has returned...and as a white man too.
I also feel your pain. Just wait a couple more years. Our horny Japanese friends are working hard on sex robots.
Seems like I can’t do much worse than Klinsiii. I call it my “hack a sac” strategy.
Based on FIFA rankings...which i know are bullshit but still
It is time for Klinsmann to go. The team has gotten measurably worse over his tenure. On top of that he seems to have zero strategy. We knew who Argentina were and there was time to prepare. What was the gameplan?
Draymond Green could have kicked Messi in the balls. Probably a more effective strategy.
Brazilian Ronaldo (the original Ronaldo btw) would have eaten the microphone.
whenever I miserably fail, which is often, I always change goals
There is a lot of unpack here and I understand a lot of what you write. But you are unfairly lumping too many things together. Firstly, evangelicals are approx. 25% of all U.S. Christians, not the U.S. population. Secondly, evangelicals are a loose affiliation that include the feel good prosperity gospel bs, baptists,…
You are being purposely provocative. Firstly, Paul never said that. Secondly, no Christian church (not even most evangelicals I think) say that Paul’s words are divine. Paul is considered a doctor of the Church and his writings are very influential. Sure he said some pretty objectionable and sexist things which were…
Troubles like infidels go to hell, God hates gays, divorce is forbidden by God, et. all.
I replied in greater detail to littlefallsmets below (which is in the greys ... hate that by the way). But the Quran is different in that Muslim mainstream tradition holds that it is the literal word of God relayed by the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet. Most mainstream Christian churches do not hold the Bible as the…
You stay that way friend. But I am not an atheist.
So you agree with me but still feel the need to insult me. I am neither an atheist (I am kinda-sorta Catholic-ish) nor do I blame issues on religion. If I stated that in my comment, then please point it out. And I read the article which (beautifully written by the way) is about the writer struggling with the meaning…
I agree...somewhat. I am a lapsed Catholic myself. Unlike the Quran, most mainstream Christian denominations do not view the Bible as the literal word of God. Interpretation and context is very much a part of understanding the revelations. I personally could not hold on to my faith and I tried. Very hard. But there…
Counterpoint (and no disrespect intended): Like other “holy” books, the Quran is made up (by man) and should be understood in the context of the time and culture it was written in. Not saying it does not have a lot of beauty and truth about life, but to consider a book the inerrant word of God is how troubles start.
