Great article! I love reading about classic movies, and Hitchcock is a favorite. I think he was able to bring out hidden depths in many of his actors.

I can't pick a favorite, but if I could…Notorious would be one of them. Bergman at her loveliest, Grant in his best performance, and that gorgeous black-and-white cinematography. And Claude Rains!
That's what made Claude Rains so great (in Notorious and also in everything), you wanted to sympathize with him even though you knew he was despicable. Love that guy.
I thought the headline said they had an Olympic bang. That would have been way more interesting.
Next up, the all-female Dirty Dozen. Except it will be the Dirty Nine and a Quarter.
Perusing the Lucille Bluth quotes page at IMDB, I think you may have something here. George Costanza would be another interesting choice. Basically, any character who's 100% id.
I daydream about getting hugs from him, and how good he probably smells, so…yeah. Think I got you beat. Happy birthday!
Speaking of whatever happened to—did she fall off a cliff, too, or what?
I validate your memory, I remember it, too. I could hardly watch Nealon doing the news.
I can understand that. I'm sorry.
I kind of love that picture of her fan-girling with LMM.
I just want to scream "USE REAL WORDS!"
Think of the smell! You haven't thought about the smell, you bitch!
He's very cute, he looks like a tiny Regis Philbin.
I completely agree. Like "Bridesmaids." Dear Lord, I hated that movie. Yes, it was "about" women, but the humor was male.
Clunky prose is a trademark of the AV Club writers. I mentally edit almost every article I read here.
My husband's spent the past three nights catching up on the trilogy and I've been popping in and out of the room. I know I saw all three movies in the theater, but I remember exactly what you do and no more. I do still like the style of the first one, though..
Two of us, actually.
Kramer puked on her. George burned down her father's cabin, however. I love the bit where Elaine lists all the crappy things George has done to Susan and then says deadpan "Yeah. They had a real good thing going."
Eric the clown put it out with his big shoe. One of my favorite episodes.
