They're real and they're spectacular!

Ponytails are okay with me, it's the man bun that is an unforgivable abomination. I think LMM sports one of those every now and then too, though…

I love your user name. I hope you are sticking to orange juice and taking care of the newts.

I resisted for months, I was so sick of all my friends gushing like morons…and then I started seeing LMM here and there on TV and in interviews, and that damn sweet face of his just pulled me in. So I watched the Tonys on Sunday and bought the cast recording on Monday and I guess the next step will be calling myself a

That shot of Norman always makes me shudder, no matter how often I've seen it.

Not the only one.

I love that movie. Happier times.

I feel sad about the post-Community careers of the Community cast.

I really, really hope, the Democratic party is looking ahead 4-8 years at young politicians to raise up, because all the prominent Dems right now are way too long in the tooth.

I despise awards shows, but for some reason I watched this one. I have no idea why, really…maybe I was a little curious to see how many awards Hamilton would win. It was a really delightful show and made me wonder why I hadn't been watching the Tonys for years.

I thought he was charming. I'm not a theater person, so I had no idea he was a Tony-winner, too. That adds even more dept to his opening number.

Yeah, I completely enjoyed the show, but when they started that clip, I thought, Really? Everybody in the world has already seen that, more than once.

Give both your brothers a big squishy hug from me, and take one for yourself, too.

What a coincidence, I started a book called Victorian London yesterday, and the author began with this very topic. Not often you hear about rivers of shit twice in one weekend.

Hey now, my mom is a saint! And I guess I should have specified it was a $10 tip (which was like a thousand dollars back then, natch) to keep dirty minds at bay..

My mom was a waitress at a Howard Johnson's in Virginia in 1968 when Muhammad Ali and his entourage came in. The other waitresses didn't want to wait on them (Virginia in the 60s, 'nuff said) My mom was glad to wait on them, and got his autograph and a nice tip.

That was my experience, too—I was completely engrossed but after it was over, I started thinking about the holes and missteps.

I love reading non-fiction about Shakespeare. Try Will in the World by Stephen Greenblatt, Shakespeare:The World As Stage by Bill Bryson, The Book of William (about the First Folios) by Paul Collins, and The Year of Lear: Shakespeare in 1606 by James Shapiro. Shapiro also has one about the year 1599 and Shakespeare

Or a southern beach in wintertime. One of my favorite outdoor reading experiences was reading Drood in a vinyl hotel beach chair at Cocoa Beach, FL in late November. The beach was deserted and bright and warm and I was reading about long chilly tramps through the British fog and rain.

Steve's had some unsettling eye work done, though. I think he'd have done better to have left his face alone.
