If it makes you feel any better, I always regret never exploring my interest in geology. Everything I read about it - from volcanoes to minerals to coastal erosion to glacial moraines - makes me want to study it.

I commented but... I think it was eaten? Weird. Sorry for the double post if I’m about to make one. Anyway:

I minored in geography. It’s an incredibly interesting field of study that covers a wide range of topics. It’s partially a liberal arts program and partially a science. Mine leans more towards cultural and political geography. I had friends who focused more on physical geography and paired it with a GIS program.

At new faculty orientation at my current university, we did an afternoon of training on how to respond to an active shooter situation on campus. At first, this made me very, very sad (and it still does). But I’m also grateful that I had that training because I know have some tools at my disposal should the situation

Geography is fascinating! It’s all the interesting stuff about history, linguistics, earth science, and politics combined!

Got my degree in Geography. Area of concentration: Arid Lands Geomorphology. Most practical thing I studied in college. Also, the only department with both a math and foreign language requirement.

ehhhh. i’m inclined to agree, but if the task is manpower-saturated, too many people can make it go slower/be less effective. plus filming things maybe makes at-risk people panic less because hey, they’re doing somthing (even if it’s tooootally unproductive). maybe.*

Attention all news outlets:

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography. It’s a very employable field as it is very versatile, being a combination of physical sciences (chemistry, physics, geology, remote sensing), social and human sciences (stats, demography, trends, health/illness propagation, etc) and the arts (history, geography). I’ve been

It’s a super interesting field - I took a few classes at a community college. It’s a combination of poli sci, anthropology, geology, history, and sociology as well as a few other things. It’s not just find Brazil on a map (which a lot of my classmates could not do). I had no idea what it was until I went to this

I had to read this a few times, the name Shannon threw me off.

I discovered this week that I really hate Mike Huckabee. I don't really hate people but him I absolutely hate.

Me right now

Okay you have a birth requirement for Presidents, I think you’ve got an age requirement? basic general knowledge test maybe? because I’m a dam foreigner and I’ve got a better grip on this stuff.

Agreed. My parents studied the MAD Magazine Spy vs Spy handbook. It sucked for us.

I quite like the idea of a divorcing set of parents continuing counseling to work out a co-parenting plan. If that is what they are doing, good for them and their children.

You know, a weird thought just occurred to me: maybe, and hear me out on this one, but maybe they take high school football too seriously in Texas.

He’s also on Tinder. Pansy sets up accounts of her own, pretending to be other people and setsup dates with him. It’s actually kind of their thing.

Same re: shitty day. Umbridge watching OITNB was my fave though.
