I watched Michael Mann's Last of the Mohicans for the first time.  That is a damn solid movie - and the ten-minute dialogue-free scene towards the end is just breathtaking.  Amazing combination of music and images.

After Sam "Ace" Rothstein left the Tangiers Casino, it became the site of like fifteen murders a year, all of which were solved by Las Vegas' most telegenic forensic scientists.  Maybe it's across the street from the Montecito.

They did film, like, twenty minutes of Mant.  It ended up on the laserdisc, but tragically, not the DVD.  Luckily it's on the YouTube.

The Clone Saga got me into comics.  My nine-year-old self thought it was the coolest thing ever - mysterious-for-the-sake-of-being-mysterious guys, ridiculous plot twists…and yes, even Kaine.  Now, of course, I realize that it wasn't very good, but I can't help but feel a twinge of nostalgia for it.

Not American, but cheesy Canadian syndicated action show Tropical Heat apparently was a huge deal in Serbia, to the point where it became a symbol of the anti-Milosevic protests in the late '90s.

I think that's the Howie Long Scream, so named because Howie Long's henchman character expels it when he's blasted off a train in Broken Arrow.  It predates Broken Arrow, though - I know it's definitely in Serial Mom.
